RACING for Senior and Junior, Open and Women's crews in coxed fours, will be in divisions with 4 races
per division at 2-hourly intervals. Each team shall consist of 4 rowers, a cox, a poleman and a judge equipped with a bicycle.
Men and women will race in separate divisions, with starting order drawn taking into account last year’s finish order.
The aim is to finish as high in the order as possible at the end of the day, and so secure a better starting position next
year. Doubling up or sharing of equipment or coxes is not permitted. MEDALS will be awarded to the crews
at the head of the Open and Women’s first divisions at the end of the day's racing. Members of crews that bump in
each cycle of races without being bumped will each be awarded a mini blade trophy.
ENTRIES must be submitted in writing, on British Rowing forms and accompanied by cheques (£55 per crew, payable to City
of Oxford Rowing Club), to: James Drohan, City Boathouse, Meadow Lane, Oxford, OX4 4BL; email: bumpingraces@oxfordrowingclub.org.uk Places are strictly limited, and precedence will be given to complete
applications in the order received.
Note: This is not a qualifying event. All club rowers must provide
a British Rowing number. For insurance purposes, College rowers must either obtain a British Rowing license or provide evidence
of racing insurance.
